TeachThere are few things as important as nurturing the faith of children, as we are reminded in Deuteronomy 11:18-20:

You shall put these words of mine in your heart and soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and fix them as an emblem on your forehead. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

What a powerful vision for ministry!

At St. Paul's, we believe that faith formation in children is about more than just selecting the right Sunday school curriculum. It is about teaching that is faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ, and encourages children to ask questions about God and about faith.

We believe that faith formation in children is about more than sitting in a Sunday school classroom for an hour each week. It is about gathering together in Christ's name, learning together the language of our faith, and creating a safe space where children's relationships with their peers, with adults, and with God can be nurtured and grown.

We believe that faith formation in children is about more than planning activities for kids to do. It is about inviting children to be a part of the life of the congregation through participation in all aspects of congregational life, including fellowship, sharing, and worship.

It is our deepest desire that through us at St. Paul's and by the power of the Holy Spirit, the seeds of faith that were planted at baptism would take root and begin to grow. In order for this to happen, we rely on the partnership between the congregation and families, sharing the responsibility and privilege of helping children grow into a deep and thriving life of faith.
